This is the main resource site for Mr Richard’s Computer classes. Here you will find information and material about the computer courses taught at Nakornpayap International School.
Each class has their own webpage. Class webpages have information for each day’s lessons. Students are required to visit the class website everyday at the beginning of class.
NIS Grade 12 Computers (note: Grade 11 Students may take this course)
Presently at NIS, computers are taught at three levels:
Level I — Introduction to Computers. Students develop the skills necessary for further study in high school and build a foundation for university and the work world. Students are expected to work at a high school level. The course covers spreadsheets Level I, introduction to programming, web publishing, presentation skills plus some content. This is a one semester course.
Level II — Intermediate skills and university preparation. The course includes spreadsheets Level II, and web publishing. Also, more advanced concepts are introduced in working in 3D including modeling and animation. Students will be well prepared for further studies, work and personal use at the completion of this course of study. Independent study skills are developed. This is a full year course.
Level III — Advanced skills. Students build intermediate skills in 3D design and programming. Students build significant foundational skills in web design and construction in XHTML with CSS. Throughout the course students are prepared with the skills for writing, data analysis and design for university. This is a full year course. Students are expected to work at a university level in preparation for further studies and the work world.
